"Dear KL Wong:I downloaded a bunch of your great answerphone songs from the
Answering Machine site a while back, and now I've come back to your own site to swipe a
few more. I left you a message then describing how I felt about them, and it's no
exaggeration to say that I'm still laughing over many of them. I came back tonight to see
if you had any suggestions on how to actually get them onto my answering machine, and
halleleuiah! you do. I'll try them out. At the time of my original message you sent me an
e-mail reply asking me which of the items I liked best, and I really did not know how to
reply. I liked (like) them all. After some mature consideration, however, (casting the
yarrow stalks in the light of the full moon, consulting the I Ching, and having a nice
chat with the old gent who lives in those pages) I have decided that I still like them
all. The Sandman appeals to my sentimental side, and I can just picture the look on the
faces of some of my colleagues when they get this message on my answermachine. But I also
love the Elvis renditions, and the two military items make me laugh every time I play
them. The Lion Sleeps is great. What more can I say. I have played a number of them back
(all of them, actually) again and again, and laugh again every time. In part of my spare
time, I act as a PA for a motivational speaker, and every morning I place 50 or so phone
calls to executives here, most of whom use voice mail. I have got so that I know exactly
what each one of these genii is going to say before he/she says it. Just once, I'd like to
hit a message like yours on someone's voice mail, but I suppose all our executives suffer
from advanced cases of TOTS diseaser (Taking Ourselves Too Seriously). Thanks for keeping
me laughing. I hope you find enough time to work up a few more of these classics. Warmest
